What does the test check?
It looks at the source code your website actually serves, with the same seven checks we use in the paid work. It checks whether citing bots can reach and understand your content. Each point is marked pass or missing, with what to do if it's missing.
Your content is visible without JavaScript
Most citing bots do not run scripts. Whatever only renders in the browser is invisible to them.
There is structured data in the raw HTML
A model reads the JSON-LD block to learn what your business is. Without it, it has to guess from prose.
Your entity is linked up
The sameAs field ties your website to your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn and directories, so scattered mentions read as one business.
Citing bots are not blocked
The training bot and the citing bot are two different things. Blocking the citing one means dropping out of answers, and most people never notice they did it.
Question-and-answer markup is in the code
A model retrieves a passage, not a page. Marked-up question/answer pairs survive being chopped up.
Headings are phrased as questions
What gets pulled into an answer is short, question-shaped text sitting directly under a heading.
One name, one address, one phone number
If your details do not match everywhere, a model reads the same business as two different companies.
What the machine test does not check: whether you show up in the answer today, who gets cited instead of you, and whether there is anything quotable on your page. That is a person's job, and the first thing the paid service delivers.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an email address or to register?
No. You type in the address, run it, and see the result. Nothing about the address you enter is stored, and we do not email you afterwards.
Why isn't it enough that I rank on the first page of Google?
Because an AI search engine does not show your page, it assembles a short answer from several sources. If your site only renders in the browser, or carries no machine-readable markup, none of your text makes it in. Ranking well on Google is necessary for this, but not enough on its own.
What do "pass" and "missing" mean?
For each check, we show whether that machine-readable basic is present on your site. "Missing" is not a verdict: most of the list is a few hours of developer work, and the test tells you exactly what.
